Assistant Superintendent of Schools Charles Obremski outlined the schedule of summer programs in the Everett Public Schools during the June 17 School Committee at Everett High School, which was the final School Committee for the summer.
According to Obremski, most of the summer programs will be operating from July 1 through July 26, 2013, with the exception of Special Education Extended Year at the English School, the For Kids Only (FKO) After School/Summer Program at the Lafayette School, the Academic Summer School the Grade Recovery programs at the High School.
Some of the details of the Summer programs, according to Obremski are as follows:
The Special Education Extended Year at the Madeline English School runs from July 1, 2013 through August 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Summer Enrichment Academy grouped in grades K-3 and 4-8 will run weekdays from July 1 through July 26 at the Keverian School from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
Academic Summer School, grades 7-12 will run weekdays from July 8 through August 2 at Everett High School from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and Grade Recovery will run the same dates at EHS from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The MCAS Remediation program for grades 9-12 will run weekdays from July1, to July 26 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at EHS
The MCAS themed summer program at EHS will run Tuesdays and Thursday only at EHS from July 1 to July 26, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The Integrating Literacy and Technology Program for Grades 6 to 8 will run weekdays at EHS from July 1 to July 26 from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
The Summer Enrichment Academy (Music) will run weekdays from July 1 to July 26 at EHS from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at EHS
For Kids Only After School/Summer Program will run weekdays from July 1 to August 23 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Lafayette School
All schools, except the English School will offer lunch for their students.
