Mayor Visits Schools for Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

This past Friday, Mayor DeMaria had the privilege of visiting the Whittier, Madeline English, Lafayette, and Webster Schools
to read to students for Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
The Mayor read to four different classes throughout the day, all of whom were thrilled to welcome their distinguished guest.
All After the readings students had the chance to shake the Mayor’s hand, take pictures with him, and ask questions regarding
his job as Mayor and his history in politics.
At the Whittier School Mayor DeMaria was joined by Middlesex Sheriff Peter Koutoujian, as well as Senator Sal DiDomenico
at the Webster School. All three officials were excited to take part in the Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration!
“I look forward to this day every year,” states Mayor DeMaria, “It’s an opportunity for me to read to and to interact directly
with the youth of our City. It also allows me time to visit with our valued teachers, who mould their young minds every day. I
had a great time throughout the day seeing all the smiling faces.”
