Etta (Dunston) Davis died on December 16.
She was the beloved wife of the late Jesse Davis and loving mother of Vanessa Davis and Linda Davis, both of Worcester, Marilyn Watkins of Wilmington, Joseph Davis of Everett and the late James King; sister of Maryland Mobley of New Jersey and the late Emmanuel King, Amazie McCain and Joseph Dunston and is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Malden. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Boston with arrangements by Murphy O’Hara Funeral Home

Salvatore Saporito
Hub Paper Box Retiree
Salvatore Saporito of Everett died on December 19 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He was 95 years old.
Born in Riesi, Sicily, Italy and an Everett resident for many years, he was a retired factory worker for Hub Paper Box Company and a long time member of the St. Joseph Society in Boston.
He was the beloved husband of more than 71 years of Grazia (Brancato); dear and devoted father of Rocco and his wife, Giuseppa of Sicily, Italy, Angela Giardina and her husband, Giuseppe of Everett, Maria Gendron and her husband, Gerald of Tewksbury, and the late Giuseppe, Vincenzo and his surviving wife, Antonietta of Somerville and Carmela; brother of the late Giuseppa LaIacona,Vincenzo and Giuseppe. He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Entombment was at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.

William A. “Papa” Pothier of Malden, formerly of East Boston, died on December 18.
A US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was the beloved husband for 52 years of Estelle (Doucet); dedicated Father, Role Model and Friend to Paul Pothier and his wife, Mary Ellen of Wilmington, Thomas Pothier and his wife, Robin of Tewksbury, Suzanne Olszak and her husband, John of Danvers, Peter Pothier and his wife, Debbie of Townsend, Joanne Catizone and her husband, Dante of Tewksbury, Roxanne Bournazian and her husband, Harry of Franklin and Leanne Guzman and her husband, Ignacio of Everett; son of the late Laurene and Ann Genevieve (Cotreau) Pothier; brother of Edwin Pothier of Revere, James Pothier of Taunton, Marjorie Delorey of East Boston, Ann Kramer of Taunton and the late Emilie Mascis; beloved grandfather to 27 beautiful grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Janina (Panasink) Artroogian of Chelsea died on December 18 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. She was 89 years old.
Born in Lowell and a long time Chelsea resident, she was the devoted wife of the late Sooren, the beloved mother of Diane Flynn and Francis Flynn, both of Everett, Janina Flynn of Falmouth and Kenneth Flynn and his wife, Rita of Saugus and is also lovingly survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
