Everett Kiwanis Participate in the Recent US Constitution Museum Flag Day Ceremony

BuildEverett Kiwanis was part of a special ceremony led by the National Flag Truck at the Charlestown Navy Yard where the group helped unfurl three 90’x45’ flags representing the three nations involved in the War of 1812.

Through the help of fellow Kiwanians Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr., Superintendent of Schools Frederick F. Foresteiere, Assistant Superintendent Charles Obremski and Anthony Radzikowski, owner of Nana’s Pizzeria – Kiwanis Vice President Matt Laidlaw, and Past President John Mattuchio, led a team of Kiwanis Members, Key Club and Building Club Members and a volunteer crew from the Everett Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts to help unfurl the US, Great Britain and Canadian flags at the USS Constitution Museum’s Flag Day Celebration.

Everett Kiwanis is one of the most distinguished service clubs in the region.  Each year, through different fundraising activities, Everett Kiwanis provides scholarships for college bound Everett Students, raising and donating funds for great local, national and international organizations. Everett Kiwanis also supports and develops future Kiwanian’s through the Key Club, Aktion Club, and Builders Clubs in the Everett Public Schools. Recently, Everett Kiwanis formed the region’s first “Golden K” club, enlisting greater involvement from city’s vibrant senior citizen population.

Everett Kiwanis sponsors Everett Public Schools History and Geography Bee, the Annual Pasta Dinner, and regularly supports many distinguished programs and projects in Everett.
