The Everett Public School population has grown by 1,000 students since 2006.
The outlook for the future is showing that the school system will likely grow by greater numbers in the decade to come.
In fact, the growth rate is reaching 300 new students annually.
This will, out of necessity, require added classroom space and teachers.
There is no way around it and no way out.
Superintendent of Schools Fred Foresteire will have to pull a rabbit out a hat on this issue as state funding for new schools will be virtually impossible to find.
It is an uncertain future that the public schools face.
