Georgette ‘Patty’ Toscano

Of Saugus, formerly of East Boston

Georgette “Patty” (Hanton) Toscano of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died on November 7. 

She was the loving wife of Robert C. Toscano of Saugus; beloved mother of Robert A. Toscano and his wife, Jo Ann, of Woburn, Rhonda Baker and her husband, Anthony, of Everett, Craig Toscano and his wife, Laurie, of Lynnfield; devoted daughter of Louise (Dyer) Hanton of East Boston and the late James Hanton; cherished grandmother of Kyrie, Jayme, Bobbie, Brittany, Autumn, Isabella and Emily; dear sister of James Hanton of East Boston, Cathy Pacitta of East Boston, Dennis Hanton of Revere, Joseph Hanton of Woburn, Robert Hanton of East Boston and Julia “Tina” Serra of Haverhill and the late George Hanton.

George Nelson

Malden resident

George A. Nelson of Malden died on November 4.

A US Navy Korean veteran, he was the beloved husband of the late Antoinette (Buono) Nelson; father of the late Debra Beardsley; stepfather of Theresa Williams of Texas; dear brother of William Nelson of Malden, Carl Nelson of W. Newbury and Maureen Newman of Utah; grandfather of Warren Beardsley Jr. He is also survived by many neices, nephews and beloved friends.

Nathaniel Mullins

NE Telephone retiree, former Everett Veterans Agent

Nathaniel T. Mullins, a 20 year resident of Wakefield and former 30 year resident of Everett, died on November 2 at his daughter’s home in Lynnfield following a long illness. He was 85 years old.

Born in Boston on December 1, 1924 to the late Nathaniel N. and Mary T. (Conway) Mullins, he grew up in Charlestown where he attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Boston Technical High School. He enlisted into the US Navy on December 13, 1943 and served his country during World War II. He was discharged on February 13, 1946 with the rank of Electronics Technician’s Mate Third Class. He worked for New England Telephone Company as a switchman, retiring in 1999 after 55 years of service. He was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 2222. He also worked for more than 10 years as a Veterans Agent for the City of Everett.

He was the beloved husband of the late Anne Marie (McCauley) Mullins; the devoted father of Nathaniel T. “Tom” Mullins Jr. of Boston, Carol A. Gill and her husband Michael of Wakefield, Jill A. Montanile and her husband Robert of Lynnfield and John T. Mullins of New Hampshire; the loving grandfather of Katie, Sean, Tom, Olivia, Christina, Emma, Nathaniel, Kate and a newborn great-grandson; beloved brother of Leonard Mullins of Florida and brother-in-law of Maryellen Mullins of Danvers.

Everett resident

Peter J. Donnelly of Everett, formerly of New Bedford, died on October 27. 

He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Lee); loving father of Peter Jr.; son of the late James and Francis (Veary) Donnelly; brother of Jane Donnelly, Kathy Brown, Michael
Donnelly, Patrick Donnelly, David Donnelly, James Donnelly, Paul Donnelly and the late Danny Donnelly and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Florence Vitiello Napolitano

Of Everett, formerly of East Boston

Florence L. (Saucy) Vitiello Napolitano of Everett, formerly of East Boston, died on October 30.

She was the beloved wife of the late James P.; loving mother of her devoted son, James Robert, of Everett and his friend, Robin “Robbie” Cushing of Milton; precious grandmother of Tia L. Napolitano of Los Angeles, CA and Jenna L. Napolitano of Hingham; sister of Edward Vitiello and his wife, Mary, of Hudson, NH; sister in law of Millie Vitiello and the late Bill Vitiello of Medford and the late Tony Vitiello, Josephine Rosetti, Helen Roberts, Phyllis Beatrice and Dorothy Gloria. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Pellegrino and Concetta Vitiello. She will be joyfully remembered by all who knew her.

William H. Levy of Melrose died on November 2. He was 88 years old.

A US Navy veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of the late Mary M. (Graves) Levy; devoted father of Marilyn Rivenburg of Melrose, Jacqueline Harrington of Stoneham, Carolyn Pebley and her husband, Mark, of Wakefield; cherished grandfather of Jill and Laurie Rivenburg, Nicole Harrington, Scott McDonough, Johnathan and Clifford Pebley; loving great grandfather of Kaitlin, Kevin, Justin and Ava; dear brother of the late Eleanor and Ruby and son of the late Harold R. Levy and Bertha (Skelski) Levy.

William Kaplan of Everett died on November 2. He was 89 years old.

He was the devoted husband of Marian “Vicki” (Hyde); beloved father of Deena and Paul David and Stanley and Wanda Kaplan; adored grandfather of Jenny, Avi, and Jonah David; dear brother of Edward Kaplan and the late Morton Kaplan.

Eugene L. Garbati of Melrose, formerly of Everett, died on November 2. He was 90 years old.

A US Navy veteran of World War II, he was the former husband of the late Dorothy (Frederick) Garbati Court; father of Peter L. Garbati and his wife, Mary Anne, of Plaistow, NH, Robert D. Garbati and his wife, Barbara, of Wilmington, Janet L. McCarthy and her husband, George, of Melrose and Jean M. Garbati and her companion, Al Scibelli, of Beverly; brother of Everett Garbati and his wife, Joanne, of Everett and the late Edward and Elmer Garbati and Ella Norton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Matilda Fanelle

Of Revere, formerly of Everett

Matilda A. (Tricca) Fanelle of Revere, formerly of Everett, died on November 1. She was 92 years old.

She was the beloved mother of Anita V. Graffeo-Quinn and her husband, Donald, of Scituate; daughter of the late Joseph and Adelina (DiGiovanni) Tricca; dear sister of Mildred Tricca of Revere and the late Octavio, Joseph and Gilda Greene. She is also lovingly survived by two grandchildren, Joseph M. Graffeo and Michael R. Graffeo and two great-grandchildren, Briana and Corey Graffeo, all of Everett, and Debra Gilardi, of Everett, whom she considered as a loving daughter-in-law.
