Gary Sylvain

Somerville resident

Gary S. Sylvain of Somerville died on September 28.

A former Somerville City employee, he was the husband of Sandra (Raschi); father of Tina of Arlington, Tammy of Malden and Gary Sylvain of Somerville; son of Dorothy and the late Joseph Sylvain of Somerville; brother of Brian Sylvain of Everett, Debbie Natale of Florida and Karen Cafarelli of Stoneham; grandfather of Lexie Sanchez.

Patricia Stetson

Of Ashby, formerly of Everett

Patricia E. (Moore) Stetson of Ashby, a former long time resident of Everett, died on September 27 at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer. She was 53 years old.

A homemaker, born in Chelsea, she was an instructor in the Winter Guard International and Drum and Bugle Corps.

She was the beloved wife of Kevin J. Stetson; dear and devoted mother of Timothy P. Stetson of Ashby; devoted sister of John L. Moore of Middleton, Barbara J. Salerno of Everett and the late Jesse J. Moore Jr., Thomas E. Moore and Karen A. Duggan. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Brain Aneurysm Foundation, 269 Hanover St., Bldg. 3, Hanover, MA 02339 would be sincerely appreciated.

 

Elaine McCormick

Bookkeeper

Elaine A. (Barbuto) McCormick of Everett died on September 28.

Mrs. McCormick was a bookkeeper for 36 years at J. Cerasulo Company of Chelsea.

She was the beloved wife of Francis “O’Dadil”; mother of Darlene Power and her husband, Brian, of Melrose, Joseph and his wife, Dawn, of Melrose, Sandra Pothier and her husband, Robert, of Tewksbury and Frank and his wife, Rosanna, of Peabody; the daughter of the late Angela and Joseph Barbuto and sister of the late Joanne Crane and Janice DeFronzo. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 56 nieces and nephews.

Helen Marie Crowley

Texas resident, formerly of Everett

Helen Marie Crowley died on September 20 in Glen Rose, Texas. She was 94 years old.

Mrs. Crowley was born September 9, 1916 in Everett to Niels Lauritz and Caroline N. Pedersen. She married Francis Joseph Crowley on February 19, 1942, in Boston and she was his beloved wife for 57 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Lief Pedersen. Her survivors include her daughter, Karen deFranchi and her husband, Ettore, of Granbury; granddaughters, Chiara Pape and her husband, Jason, of New Braunfels, Texas, Erica Zettlemoyer and her husband, David, of Houston; great granddaughters, Hannah Pape and Madison Pape; her brother, Carl Pedersen of Lynn and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service was held at Wiley Funeral Home. Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date at the Glenwood Cemetery in Everett. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements were by the Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas 817-573-3000.

 

Patricia Magro

Melrose resident

Patricia Magro of Melrose died on September 18.

She was the loving mother of Patrick Magro of Melrose; daughter of Mary (Rizzari) Magro and the late Samuel; sister of Paula Santora of Everett and Maryann Greenburg of California.

Paul McCarthy

Malden resident

Paul F. McCarthy of Malden died on September 24.

A member of UMVA Local 369, he was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Kelley) McCarthy, the devoted father of Kristine M. McCarthy of Malden; dear son of Margaret (Coffey) McCarthy of Malden and the late Joseph McCarthy; loving brother of Joseph McCarthy of Everett and Jeanne and Robert McCarthy, both of Reading. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Dorothea V. (Coviello) Lemole died in Everett on September 26.

She was the beloved wife of Peter J. Lemole; mother of Paula and her husband, Timothy Sheehan, Laurie and her husband, Scot Cohen, all of Swampscott and Peter Lemole and his wife, Susan, of Peabody; sister of Dolores Hart of Everett and the late Patrick and Marcus Coviello; grandmother of Patrick, Peter and Joseph Sheehan, Alexandra and Christopher Cohen, Ryan and Anthony Lemole.

Funeral arrangements were by the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, Revere. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations in her memory to St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 660 Washington Ave, Revere 02151 would be appreciated.
