Virginia ‘Elaine’ Leto

Of Saugus, formerly of East Boston

Virginia E. “Elaine” (Brown) Leto of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died on September 25.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Leto, Sr.; loving mother of Mark Leto of Everett, Elaine “Lanie” Leto of Revere, and the late Debbie Leto; dear stepmother of Joseph Leto, Jr. and his wife, Gina, of Woburn; cherished grandmother of Georgia Durbano of Saugus, Jessica Durbano of Lynn, Laini Leto and Alissa Leto, both of Woburn.

A Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in The Kirby-Rapino Memorial Home, 917 Bennington St., (Orient Heights), East Boston. Dale Powers

Boilermaker

Dale E. Powers, a lifelong resident of Everett, died on September 22. He was 53 years old.

He was born in Everett, attended Everett Public Schools and graduated from Northeast Tech. He worked as a boilermaker for the last 30 years.

The fiancé and dear friend of Kathleen Cuthbert, he was the devoted father of Dale J. Powers and Erik Powers; loving son of Eleanor (Flynn) Powers and the late Dale E. Powers; brother of Susan Powers, Kathleen Striker and Donna Powers, all of Everett.

His Funeral will be held from the Murphy O’Hara Funeral Home 519 Broadway, Everett today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Kevin McCarthy

Malden resident

Kevin F. McCarthy of Malden died on September 26.

A US Army veteran of Vietnam, he was the beloved husband of Karen M. (Zaccardo) of Malden; devoted father of Corinn M. and her husband, Matthew B. Chadwell, of Swampscott, and Patrick K. McCarthy of Malden; cherished brother of Carol A. McCarthy of Everett, William E. McCarthy of Michigan, Timothy P. McCarthy of Winthrop, Maureen K. Nardone of Medford, John J. McCarthy of Medford, Brian C. McCarthy of Saugus, and Michael McCarthy of Florida; loving grandfather of Emma and Ashlyn and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Patricia Gertrude Breau

Holliston resident

Patricia Gertrude Breau of Holliston died at home on September 23. She was 78 years old.

Born in Everett and a 50 year resident of Holliston, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Doyle) Quealy;  the wife of the late Ronald J. Breau who died in June of 1998. She was devoted to her family. She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Lowry and Katherine Breau, both of California, Ann Karpenski of Hopkinton, Jennifer Turner and her husband, Jim, of Sherborn; five siblings, Mary Whalen of Everett, John Quealy of New York, Ellen Philbin of Malden, William Quealy and Alan Quealy, both of Everett. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, Stephen, Elizabeth, Caroline, Alan, Joseph, Matthew, Molly, William, Emily and Caitlin. She was the sister of the late Ann Quealy.

Domenico Saraceni

Malden resident

Domenico Saraceni of Malden died on September 22.

Born in Orsogna, Italy, he was the beloved husband of Rita (D’Annibale); father of Sarafina DiNunzio and her husband, Nicola, of Malden and Mirella Smith and family of Rochester, NY. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Rita, Liana and Domenic.

Vincent McAdam

Retired MBTA Track Foreman

Vincent F. McAdam, a lifelong resident of Everett, died on September 24 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was 79 years old.

A US Navy veteran, he was a member of the Saugus-Everett Lodge of Elks 642, Saugus and a retired track foreman for the MBTA.

He was the beloved husband of Carlene M. (Anderson); dear and devoted father of Patrick McAdam of Everett, Maureen Harris and her husband, Steve, of Litchfield, NH, Eileen Morris and her husband, Steve, of Salem, NH, Carl McAdam and his wife, Virginia, of W. Peru, ME, Kathryn McAdam-Kinnon of Marco Island, FL, and Michael McAdam and his husband, Steve Morin, of Raynham. He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren.

Ruth Smith

Charlestown resident

Ruth E. Smith of Charlestown died on September 17. She was 78 years old.

The devoted mother of Maureen Stout and Jean Smith, both of Malden, Joan Smith and her fiancé, Stephen, of Pawtucket, R.I. and Cynthia Smith-Evans and her husband, Johnnie, of Everett, she was the loving Nana to Marc and his wife, Kelley, Ashley, Kevin, Jackie, Jenna and her great-grandchildren, Bailey, Nathan, Saddie and Sophia; beloved sister of Virginia, Rita, Earl Jr., Arthur, George and the late Richard, Donna, Earlene and Herbert. She is also survived by her many friends in Charlestown.

Mildred (Daniluk) Clements of Saugus, formerly of Chelsea, died on September 21.

She was the loving mother of Gerald Clements of Lynn, Edward Clements of Florida, Wayne Clements of Everett, Ralph Clements and Mark Clements of Saugus; beloved grandmother of nine and great grandmother of nine; sister of the late Walter Daniluk, Nicholas Daniluk and Kay Rogers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Carl DeAngelis of Everett died on September 21. He was 99 years old.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he served his country in Germany.

Mr. DeAngelis was the husband of 72 years of his beloved wife Doris (Bologna); loving father of Donald and his wife, Barbara, of Everett; brother of the late Ernie, Fred, Carmen, Amando, John, Tony, Michelina Mattola and Mary Vietri; cherished grandfather of Dawn of Tewksbury and Denise DeMeo of Derry NH. William A. Orlandi of Westerly, R.I., died September16 at South County Hospital. He was 68 years old.

The devoted and loving husband of Jo Ann Orlandi and the proud father of Brian M. Orlandi of Portsmouth, NH, he was born in Everett to the late Alveraldo and Rose (Santoianni) Orlandi. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Gifford, his grandchildren John Leo and Meghan Rose Orlandi of Portsmouth, NH and his Richmond, Va. family. He was the brother of the late Carl Orlandi.

Eva Cieri

Of Wakefield and Nahant

Eva (Rocci) Cieri of Wakefield and Nahant, died on September 18. She celebrated her 100th birthday on January 5.

The beloved wife of the late Antonio “Tony,” she was the mother of Louise Cormier of Wakefield and the late Marguerite. She was the sister of many late siblings. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Mary Beth Cormier, Michael Cormier and Carl Cormier.
