Lillian Bacigalupo

Somerville resident

Lillian M. (Cirello) Bacigalupo of Somerville died on July 16.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Bacigalupo; loving mother of Ann C. Gillespie and her husband, Francis, of Stoneham and Frank Bacigalupo of Everett; sister of Charles Cirello of Florida and Natalie Lutkus of Canton. She is also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her Funeral procession will be from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq), Somerville, Wednesday (today) at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, Somerville at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Gerald Fusco

Of Quincy, formerly of Everett

Gerald C. “Jerry” Fusco of Quincy, formerly of Everett, died peacefully, on July 16 at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness. He was 59 years old.

An employee of Roche Brothers in Quincy, he was the beloved husband for 34 years of Christine M. (Foye) Fusco; devoted son of the late Carmine and Bianca (Pietrantonio) Fusco; loving brother of Sandra O’Connor and her husband, Bill, of Burlington and Eleanor Fusco of Burlington; nephew of Olga Pietrantonio of Everett and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, Quincy. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy. David Vaughan

Of Georgia, formerly of Everett

David A. Vaughan of Madison, GA, formerly of Malden and Everett, died on July 14.

He was the devoted husband of Nancy Liveoak and devoted father of Bradley of Nashville, TN and Michelle Ezzard of Watkinsville, GA. He is also survived by his brothers Richard of Southbridge, Terrence of Kennebunk, ME and his sister, Mary V. Swearingen, of Centreville, VA and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. July 30 at Madison Presbyterian Church, 382 South Main St, Madison, GA 30650.

 

William Blackstone

Retired Boston Firefighter

William J. Blackstone of Everett, formerly of Charlestown, died on July 13.

A US Army Vietnam veteran, he was a retired Firefighter B.F.D. Ladder 1.

The beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” A. (Millard), he was the devoted father of David Perkins of Tewksbury, Wesley “Sonny” Blackstone of Everett and Leah Blackstone of Charlestown; beloved Papa of Benjamin Blackstone of Charlestown; brother of Annie Lawton of Somerville and Marguerite Hughes of Everett.

Funeral arrangements were by the John H. Sawyer Funeral Home, Charlestown. Burial was in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to All-Care Hospice of Lynn, 16 City Hall Sq., Lynn, MA 01901.

 

Christie DeSisto

Revere resident

Christie A. DeSisto of Revere died on July 14.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He was the devoted father of Patricia Costa of Haverhill, Frank of Arizona, Christina L. of Florida, Susan C. of Everett and the late Daniel L. and Ann E. DeSisto; dear brother of Susie DiRosa of Revere and the late Joseph and is also survived by his grandson Paul Costa, great grandchild Josceline Duprix and late grandson Thomas Costa. He was the cherished uncle of Maryellen Lucia and Suzanne DiRosa.

Frances (Alferi) Gaglione of East Boston, formerly of the North End of Boston, died on July 14.

She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Gaglione, devoted mother of Angelina “Angie” King and her late husband, Jerry, of Revere, Michael and his wife, Marie, Pasquale “Pat” and his wife, Barbara, Susan
Pioppi ,Ronald and his wife, Annette, all of East Boston; dear sister of the late Louis  and Albert Alfieri, Rita Mazac, Susan Smith, Lillian DiGetano, Louisa Difria, and Emma Coito; loving grandmother of Teddy Baker, Deborah and Sandra Baker, Charlotte Iapicca and her husband, Gus, Frank Pioppi and his wife, Candy, of Luigies Pizza of
Beachmont, Loretta Gorman and her husband, Bill,  Ricky Gaglione and his wife, Toni, Bobby Gaglione and his wife, Mary, Raymond Gaglione and his wife, Karen, Ronald Gaglione and his wife, Donna, Robert Gaglione,Timmy

Antoinetta “Netta” Mercadante of East Boston died on July 13.

The dear sister of the late Josephine Amicone and Mary Fay, she was the cherished aunt of Grace D’Agostino, Robert “Daga” and Mary”Mae” D’Agostino, all of East Boston.

Margaret Doherty

Lifelong resident of North Revere

Margaret T. (Mais) Doherty, a lifelong resident of North Revere, died at home on July 14. She was 80 years old.

The wife of the late John “Jack” Doherty, she was born and raised in Revere, the daughter of the late William and Catherine (McGuire) Mais. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW DeFranzo Post in Saugus.

Mrs. Doherty leaves two sons, John Doherty, Jr. and Michael Doherty, both of Revere; one daughter, Maureen Russo of Saugus; numerous grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William Mais, Frederick Mais and Katherine Mais.

Funeral arrangements were by the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, Saugus. Burial was at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in West Peabody.

 

Arthur Cafarella Sr.

Retired US Air Force

Arthur A. Cafarella Sr., Retired CMSGT U.S. Air Force, died recently.

A member of the Knights of Columbus of Revere, he was the beloved husband of Angela Cafarella; devoted father of Deborah A. Cafarella of Revere, Arthur Jr. of Melrose, Patricia Sulick and her husband, Thomas J., of Wilmington and Carol A. McPhail of New Hampshire and is also survived by nine loving grandchildren.
