The Everett High field hockey team earned a 2-2 tie with Braintree on Monday.
Yasmin Akeeb, assisted by Sashae Walls, and Samantha Sarni, assisted by Kayla Lombardi, scored the goals for the Crimson Tide, both of which came in the opening half to give Everett a 2-0 lead at the intermission.
However, the host Braintree girls hit the Everett net’s back board for two goals in the second half to come away with the 2-2 deadlock.
In addition to the offensive stars, EHS head coach Janet Colameta also praised the efforts of Amy Phan, Casey Brennan, and goalie Martine Mathurin.
The Everett girls will wrap up their 2009 season with a game against Swampscott today (Wednesday) on Homecoming Day and the season finale Friday at Saugus.
