Mayor Robert J. Van Campen and members of the Everett City Council visited the Connolly Center to celebrate Little League players and the conclusion of another successful season.
Players and their families gathered for the annual banquet, enjoying food, bingo and activities for the kids. The celebration concluded with players receiving trophies and medals in recognition of their hard work throughout the season.
“As the parent of a former Little Leaguer, it’s always great to spend time with players and their families and celebrate everything they accomplished this season,” said Mayor Robert J. Van Campen. “Beyond the game itself, these kids are learning the value of sportsmanship, teamwork and perseverance, lessons that will stay with them as they grow.”
Participating in youth sports gives children an opportunity to build friendships, gain confidence and develop important skills that extend well beyond the field.
The City of Everett congratulates all of the players and their families on a fantastic season and wishes the graduating players continued success as they move on to their next chapter.
