We know we speak for all of our fellow residents in thanking Mayor Robert Van Campen and the Everett Food Policy Council for their efforts in bringing back the Farmers Market to our city after a 10-year absence,
The food-to-table movement has grown exponentially in recent years and we are heartened to see that Everett is taking part in that effort.
The first two of the Farmers Markets (held on School Street off Broadway) in July were a big success. Upcoming markets are scheduled for the Saturdays of August 8, August 22, and September 12, with hours from 11 AM-3 PM.
Farmers Markets are among the little things that make up the fabric of a community. We’re sure that with the encouragement of the mayor and city organizations, the Everett Farmers Market will continue to grow in popularity, both among vendors and our residents in the years to come.
