By Mayor Robert Van Campen
As we continue to endure this difficult winter season, I want to take a moment to personally thank each of you for your patience, resilience, and community spirit over the past several weeks.
Winter always brings its share of challenges — from heavy snowfall and icy roads to disruptions in our daily routines. This has been particularly true this year. Yet time and again, our community demonstrated what makes us strong: neighbors helping neighbors, staff going above and beyond to maintain essential services, and residents showing understanding as our crews worked tirelessly to keep roads clear and facilities operational.
I am especially grateful to our public works teams, emergency responders, administrative staff, and all municipal employees who worked long hours in difficult conditions to ensure our city remained safe and functional. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.
To our residents, thank you for your cooperation, your preparedness, and your continued support of one another. Your sense of community is what truly defines us.
As we welcome the arrival of spring in the coming weeks, I look forward to brighter days ahead and to continuing our work together to strengthen and enhance our community.
