Meet the team: Paul DeMato

Paul DeMato is an employee of the Department of Public Works and has worked with the City of Everett for 27 years.

What do you do in the City/?

“I am General Foreman at the DPW. I am in charge of the irrigation in the Ball Fields and the Playgrounds throughout the City. I also buy the flowers for the City and work with the Garden Center. Over the years, I have pretty much done a little bit of everything, bur this is what I’m focused on.

What is your favorite part about working for the City?

“Meeting different people is my favorite part of working in the City. I was born and raised here in Everett, so it’s nice to be part of the improvements.”

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned from your role?

“I’ve learned not to take things for granted, give people the benefit of the doubt and treat people the way you want to be treated.”

What do you like to do when you are not working?

“I am a social guy. I like traveling, dining out, and going to social gatherings.
