Randolph Man Charged in Connection to Everett Shooting

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Massachusetts State Police have confirmed that Daryl Brown, 29 of Randolph, has been arrested and charged with armed assault with the intent to murder, assault and battery with a firearm, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and carrying a firearm related to the incident. He was arraigned on Aug. 20 in Malden District Court.

On August 16, at approximately 3 a.m., Everett Police responded to a call for a male with a gunshot wound in the area of Sweetser Circle. A preliminary investigation suggests that the victim and Daryl Brown were in the Encore Casino’s lobby when they allegedly got into an argument. Through the investigation, detectives learned that Daryl Brown allegedly waited for the victim outside of the casino garage and followed him to the Sweetser Circle ramp, where multiple shots were fired from Brown’s vehicle into the victim’s vehicle. The victim was transported to a hospital where he recovered from the injuries sustained during the incident.

The prosecutor assigned to this case is Jacob McCrindle.

This is an open and active investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Everett Police Department, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Boston Police Department, Randolph Police Department and the Encore Casino Detectives.
