Phyllis Tricco

Retired Jordan Marsh Sales Auditor

Phyllis L. (Gill) Tricco of Everett, formerly of Chelsea, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, July 13 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home.  She was 90 years old.

 Born and raised in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Alfred and Hester A. (Noftle) Gill, Phyllis attended Chelsea public schools and graduated from Chelsea High School, Class of 1947.  She worked as a sales auditor for the former Jordan Marsh Company in Boston.  Retiring in 1992, she enjoyed playing bingo and watching her six grandchildren grow up.  Phyllis has been a resident of Everett for 66 years and was a late member of the First Congregational Church in Chelsea.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. 

The wife of the late Charles L. Tricco, she was the beloved mother of David C. Tricco and his wife, Mary of West Roxbury and Steven P. Tricco of Braintree; dear sister of Jean Thompson of Revere and the late Alfred Gill and Doris Penney; sister-in-law of Rose Ann Gill of Everett and the late William Thompson and John C. Penney.  Phyllis is also lovingly survived by six grandchildren: Andrew, Edward, Jacquelyn Tricco, Elizabeth Schwarz and her husband, D.J., Emily Leach and her husband, Owen and Dana Tricco. 

Her funeral services will be conducted at the First Congregational Church, 26 County Rd., Chelsea today, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Funeral arrangements are by the Carafa Family Funeral Home 389 Washington Ave. Chelsea.
