The Seventeenth Annual Malden Sketch Group Exhibit will be on display at Commerce Place, 350 Main Street in Malden, beginning May 20. Sponsored by Preotle Lane & Associates, the exhibit will run until June 28 during lobby hours Monday through Friday 9-6 p.m. An artists’ reception will be held Friday, May 31, from 6-8 p.m. in the lobby.
Twenty-eight artists from many surrounding communities are represented in the Commerce Place exhibit. Their work includes paintings, drawings, collage and etchings. Art collectors, this is an opportunity to purchase some beautiful art featuring the local scene. Ten percent of sales goes to local charities.
The Malden Sketch Group meets from 7-9:30, Monday for life drawing, Thursdays for portrait drawing at Commerce Place, 350 Main St., Malden. Access is at the main lobby front door promptly at 7 p.m..
The Malden Sketch Group is one of the longest-running drawing groups in the Boston Area. The group consists of full-time professional artists all the way to enthusiastic beginners.
