Evelyn Showstead

Of Lynn, formerly of Everett

Evelyn M. (Vinal) Showstead of Lynn, formerly of Everett, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 20 after a long illness with Dementia. She was 87 years old.

Evelyn was a stay at home mom until all her kids were grown.  She worked for Stuarts and Stop & Shop and enjoyed playing Bingo.

She is survived by her son, Bruce Showstead and his wife, Gail, Danny Showstead, Christopher Showstead and his daughter, Joyce Showstead, all of Lynn; her sister, Christine June Gudroe of Maine; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband, John Showstead, son, Brian Showstead, daughter, Janet Showstead and her sister and brothers: Hilda Tyler, Lester Vinal and William (Billy) Vinal.

Her Funeral will be from Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St, Everett on Friday, April 26. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Complimentary valet parking Friday at Main Street entrance. Interment will be at a later date.

John Kerrigan

Lifetime army soldier and Vietnam War Veteran 

John Kerrigan, of Everett, a lifetime army soldier and Vietnam War Veteran, died on April 16.

He was the son of the late James and Delia, brother of Julia Ireton, Mary MacDonald and the late James and is also survived by nieces, nephews and his many friends, especially from the VFW, Line Steak and Brew, Bill Ash’s and the Derby.
