Introducing a new group for new parents! Come for coffee, fun activities for kids and conversation. Learn about local resources, and meet other parents. Parlin Memorial Library

Monday, October 15, at 3:30 p.m.

littleBits are electronic building blocks that snap together to build cool projects. Learn about coding, engineering, and circuitry with the littleBits at the Parlin Memorial Library on Monday, October 15, at 3:30 p.m. This program is intended for children in grades 1-6. All materials for this program are provided by the library; please register at the Children’s Desk. Please call 617-394-2306 with any questions, or to register. Shute Memorial Library

Come join us at the Shute Library and learn how to draw, paint, collage, and much more with a variety of materials. If you have your own projects to work on, please feel free to bring in your work to each meeting and join your community of young aspiring artists ages 11 to 18. Back by popular demand, Doug “VB” Goudie, the radio and TV personality,  presents his new book, A Frost in Hell: The True Story of the Petersham Butcher of 1885. On July 4, 1875 someone was murdered, but the appeal, and the punishment, made this trial the event of the year. It also made a man from nowhere, and his wife, the talk of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the nation. Refreshments are provided by the Friends of the Everett Libraries. Looking for your moment of zen? Yoga teacher Jacqui Bullens will be at the Parlin Memorial Library to lead an introductory yoga class for kids on Thursday, October 18, at 4 p.m. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat or use one of the Library’s. Get Hired: Resume Writing and Gmail

Thursday October 18, 7 p.m. Parlin Meeting Room

On Thursday October 18, at 7 p.m. join us at the Parlin Library to create a resume! Learn about different types of resumes and determine which one is best for you!  After a quick overview of Gmail, you will have the opportunity to create a new resume or edit an existing one!  By the end of the class you should be able to go upstairs and print your new and improved resume! If you don’t finish by the end of the first class, come to the next meeting and you can keep improving your resume! Classes will be held at the Parlin Library in the meeting room.  All resources will be provided.
