Thomas ‘Tommy’ Goyetche

Everett Police Officer

Thomas “Tommy” Goyetche of Everett died suddenly on March 21.

An Everett Police Officer for 28 years and a member of Somerville City Club, he was the beloved husband of Maureen (Burns); son of Henry and the late Bridget (Kerin) of Everett; loving brother of John and his wife Helen, AnnMarie, Charles, Andrew and his wife Colleen, Pamela Fialli and her husband Mark and Vernon.  He is also survived by his beloved cat Brady.  Tom will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joseph LaVita

Retired Everett Police Officer

Joseph A. LaVita of Everett died on March 24. He was 89 years old.

Joseph served in the 82nd Army Airborne Division and retired from the Everett Police Department.

The beloved husband for 63 years to Josephine (Mortelliti), he was the loving father of Donna LaVita Tefft and her husband, Steven; loving brother of Arthur LaVita and his wife, Marcia, and the late Bernard LaVita. He is survived by his one beloved granddaughter, Carly, as well as by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral arrangements were by the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cops for Kids with Cancer, Everett Police Department, 45 Elm St., Everett, MA 02149.

Paul Lanzi, Jr.

Devoted husband, father and son

Paul A. Lanzi, Jr., devoted husband, father and son, of Reading, formerly of Malden, died unexpectedly on March 20.

He was the beloved husband of Kristin (Traill); devoted father of Gina, Jessica, Paul and Christopher, all of Reading; son of Catalina (Gutierrez) and the late Paul A. Lanzi, Sr.; brother of Joseph and his wife, Erin of North Reading and Peter and his wife, Katie of Wilmington; son-in-law of Janeen Traill of Revere and the late Bill Traill; brother-in-law of Bill Traill and his wife, Linda of Danvers and Kelly Davidson and her husband, Phil of Reading.
