Virginia Silva

Of Everett

Virginia (Schacht) Silva of Everett passed away on March 5. She was 85 years old.

Born in Everett, she was the loving daughter of the late Edwin and Georgina (Peters) Schacht; beloved wife of the late Robert Silva; loving mother of Robert Silva, Jr., Steven Silva, Brian Silva, Daniel Silva, Nancy Caruso, Donna Murnane, and Kenneth Silva; loving sister of Paul Schacht and Brenda Hill. She is also survived by 18 cherished grandchildren and eight cherished great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral from the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett, on Thursday, March 10 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held today, Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Antonetta (Maiocco) Orsini

Of Everett

Antonetta “Anna” (Maiocco) Orsini of Everett, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in the Chestnut Woods Nursing Center in Saugus after a long illness. She was 101 years of age. Born in Villa Santa Maria, Chieta, Italy, Anna lived in Everett for most of her life.

She was a seamstress by profession, working in clothing manufacturing. After retirement in clothing, Anna became very involved as a teacher’s aide at her daughter, Carol’s school-“Chapman’s Pre-School and Kindergarten”. Beloved wife of the late Domenico A. “Tony” Orsini.

Dear and devoted mother of Marie D. Commito and her husband, Elio of Stoneham and Carol A. Marrone and her husband, Robert of Saugus. Devoted sister of Helen LaNasa and the late Frank and A. George Maiocco. Loving grandmother of Philip A. Marrone and his wife, Janet of Wayland and loving great-grandmother of Laura Marrone.

Her funeral was at the funeral home on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, at 10 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Contributions in Antonetta’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown MA 02472 or to the Chestnut Woods Nursing Center “Activity Fund”, 73 Chestnut St. Saugus, MA 01906, would be sincerely appreciated.
