This past Wednesday, Mayor DeMaria had the privilege to join Superintendent
Fred Foresteire, Assistant Superintendents Dr. Thomas Stella and Charles Obremski,
as well as members of the School Committee, at the Lafayette School for the Everett
Middle School Science Fair.
The Mayor interacted with hundreds of students, all of whom were happy to welcome their distinguished guest and to present to him their projects. After demonstrating their projects students had the chance to shake the Mayor’s hand, take pictures with him, and ask him questions regarding his job.
“I look forward to this day every year,” stated Mayor DeMaria, “It’s an opportunity for me to visit with the youth of our City.
It also allows me time to visit with our valued teachers, who mold their young minds every day. I had a great time seeing all the
students’ hard work.”
