Walter S. Walata, Jr. of Chelsea died on September 19.
The former owner and director of the Walata Funeral Home of Chelsea, he was the beloved husband of the late Lydia (Belofsky); father of Cathy Surette and her husband, Joseph of Saugus and Mark and his wife, Michelle of Arlington; brother of Dr. Edward Walata of Brookline and Regina Peters of Lynnfield. He is also survived by one grandson, Kristopher Surette of North Andover, one niece, Cenia Peters and one nephew, Albert Peters, both of Lynnfield.

Gloria M. (DelVecchio) Calderone of Everett died on September 21.
She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent J. Calderone; loving mother of Marianne Ciarlone and her husband, Robert of Everett, Diane Ellis of Everett, Vincent A. Calderone and his wife, Catherine of Wakefield, John F. Calderone and his wife, Mary of Saugus; beloved sister of Mary B. DelVecchio. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Gina, Kristin, Vincent M., Michael, Nicholas, Daria, Nicole, and Hannah, and two loving great grandchildren, Dylan and Jordan.
Her Funeral will be held from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., Everett on Thursday, September 26 at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church in Everett at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
