City Clerk Rushed to Hospital

Everett City Clerk Michael Matarazzo was rushed to the Whidden Hospital Tuesday afternoon, during the Special Primary Election, after suffering an apparent medical emergency.

According to sources at the scene, Matarazzo collapsed while overseeing the election at the polling site for Ward 5 Precinct 2. There was no word on his condition at press time, but one source in the city clerk’s office said they’d been told that he was awake and undergoing tests.
