On behalf of the City, long time City Services employee, Tom Murray, recently created a humble and fitting tribute to the twenty-six victims of Newtown, CT. Murray hand-crafted twenty-six white crosses and placed them at the entrance of Glenwood Cemetery. He adorned the crosses with pink and blue bows to signify each victim. “I was moved when Tom approached me and requested permission to set up the memorial,” states Mayor DeMaria, “I thought it was a caring and appropriate gesture, a sentiment shared by everyone in our community.”
