Everett and State Police searched late into the evening Monday night in the area of Main Street near Clark Street, for a suspect in a shooting that sent one victim to Massachusetts General Hospital, just before 9 p.m., with life threatening injuries.
According to a Middlesex District Attorney’s spokesperson, there was little information about the victim or the extent of injuries, only that the victim was on Main Street when the crime occurred and state police K-9 and helicopter assets were requested to assist in the search.
Ballistics and crime scene officers were also sent to the scene, as police tried to piece together the events that led to the attack.
Everett police were not available to comment on the investigation prior to the Independent’s deadline.
