  • My name is Dennis Elwell, my name is listed here because I was falsely
arrested & charged for a crime I did not commit. All charges against
me have been dropped because there was no evidence to even arrest me to
begin with.  I am in the process of having this arrest removed from my
record as it was falsely done. I am innocent & I had to prove it. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? I did not have any police record until this incident. I
would like my name, and all names of arrested individuals removed from your newspaper because you are violating our rights. I have done nothing
wrong & I am an innocent man, yet by printing my name you are essentially labeling me with a scarlet letter, as guilty. I am sure you have had other protests against this policy as you do not do it some other of your newspapers. You print the crime committed, not the arrested individual. That policy should be carried out throughout all of your newspapers.
