Senator Sal DiDomenico was sworn into office on January 5th to begin serving his first full term in the Massachusetts State Senate.  The swearing-in ceremony took place in the Senate chamber, with Governor Deval Patrick administering the oath of office to the 40 members of the body, including Senator DiDomenico and eight freshman senators who were elected to the Senate for the first time in November.

“I am honored to continue to serve the residents of the Middlesex, Suffolk and Essex district,” said Senator DiDomenico.  “Although our state is facing major challenges and many difficult decisions ahead, I am eager to continue working with my colleagues in the Legislature to find solutions that strengthen our economy, put people back to work and improve the quality of life for all of our state’s residents.”

Senator DiDomenico was joined at the ceremony by his wife Tricia, children Matthew and Sal and parents Sal and Marie DiDomenico.

Senator DiDomenico was first elected to the Senate in May 2010 in a special election to represent the communities of Charlestown, Chelsea and Everett and portions of Allston-Brighton, Cambridge, Revere, Saugus and Somerville.
