On the Everett-Chelsea line at PoBoy’s sub shop on Third Street an independent film was being shot Wednesday afternoon. “Remnant” is the title of the film which traces the story of a woman searching for the shooter in her husband’s death. Two of the good looking lead characters shown are Malden’s Domenic Ricci and Rockland’s Stephanie Spry, both professional actors. In addition, the film’s producer is shown in a single head shot. He is Miguel Lopes, a long time independent film producer. Tony Hines is the good looking African American man standing with the others in front of PoBoy’s. He’s been in 27 films and just returned from Hollywood. Brian Neules is the cameraman and the director and he also wrote the script for the film. Eris Cormier is the owner of PoBoy’s. According to Lopes, the film will be entered at the Sundance Film Festival and other festivals where independent films are judged.
